Also, fascinatingly enough, in a profession requiring verbal lash-outs, lawyers can be quite passive-aggressive. Caveat Emptor - when someone gives you a tight smile and says “everything’s fine”, everything actually is NOT fine.

It’s fair to say lawyers are self-focused. In today’s world, with an overabundance of lawyers, one has to have a specialization in an area to attract clients and separate themselves from the pack. Thus, lawyers spend excessive time figuring themselves out and building their personal brand.

Lawyers are highly competitive creatures, and this high level of competitiveness drives them to do crazy things like go through the pains of applying and attending law school.
