Amarchand, Indus on solar cleantech World Bank investment

Amarchand Mumbai partner Ravindra Bandhakavi, who joined Amarchand late last year from Sun Apollo, represented IFC's clean tech fund, which is part of the World Bank Group.

Induslaw partner Suneeth Katarki led the team for the Helion and Foundation Capital, assisted by principal associate Satyasree Akella and associate Sarah Abraham.

The company was represented by its Delhi law firm Mukherjee & Khandelwal.

The project is a World Bank member's first foray into solar power technology in South Asia, and is expected to generate 20,000MWh of clean energy, saving 10,000 tons of carbon emmissions annually.
