Best Researcher points for GIMC not awarded.
Thanks though, have fixed and updated in the copy - honest omission.
Bhai Jessup Stetson or price media moot ka standard pata bhi hay....aiseh hi kuch bhi :D
Similarly, Antitrust is the most reputable and oldest antitrust law moot in India. It is organised by AMSS and CCI. The antitrust moots in India are SCLU Antitrust, HNLU Antitrust and DSNLU Competition Law. Out of these three, SCLU is not getting organised from past 3 years, HNLU moved towards Constitutional and Environmental Law and DSNLU started a year back only. Hence, NLUJ Antitrust shall be in tier 4.
B. Krishna IPR is getting organised from past 6-7 years. Their are only few IPR moots in India, notable ones are G.H. Raisoni and R.P. Anand. If moots like NLS Tax can be included in tier 5, I don't see a reason for not to include B. Krishna.
This is not aise hi kuch bhi!!!! :p
1) Regarding KK Luthra
Your argument is based on two factors: the number of teams participating, and the fact that foreign teams take part. First, a lot of teams cannot take part in Jessup/Stetson/etc because of the registration fee involved. Second, as far as the quality is concerned, the KK Luthra moot problem is light years behind the problems issued in such 'premier' moots in their complexity. Your other logic is that the such moots are included in those tiers as they are the best in their field. That is not the case. Moots are not ranked by compartmentalisation. Stetson is not ranked with respect to its stature in international environmental law moots, it is ranked alongside every other moot in general.
2) Regarding NLUJ Antitrust
Again, the compartmentalisation point applies.
3) Regarding BR Krishna IPR
See NLUJ Antitrust.
Further, the tone adopted by you is quite condescending. "...shall be in Tier..." has an air of arrogance. Dude, come on.
Tier 3 moots are those mooting events which are the best of the elite national contests and some of them are the gateway to the Global Championships/World-class moots in the above tiers. BCI is a part of Tier 3. On the same ground, I have place my argument that K.K. Luthra is now an elite national contest. Either you take number of participation or years of establishment or the status K.K. Luthra has earned with respect to criminal law moot, it definitely forms part of tier 3 moot.
Tier 4 moots are "those contests which see participation from the top Indian Law Schools, a large number of them have also carved a niche for themselves in the national mooting scene". NLUJ Antitrust indisputably forms part of it. It not only see participation from all top Indian Law Schools, perhaps it has also carved a niche for itself due to being the only successfully running Competition law moot and perhaps being sponsored by AMSS and CCI adds cherry to it.
Tier 5 moots includes good domestic competitions that a range of Indian law schools take part, as well as prestigious international competitions that see only little Indian law school participation. B.Krishna IPR is getting conducted successfully from past 6-7 years and a large number of law schools in India do participate in it on regular basis. Henceforth, it also fulfils the eligibility criteria.
