NLIU Bhopal starts MPL 6 with a bang, to lead after Henry Dunant, Raj Anand, Juris Corp

MPL's back, and it's going to be a blast!
MPL's back, and it's going to be a blast!
The sixth Mooting Premier League, sponsored by Herbert Smith Freehills, has kicked off again, with NLIU Bhopal in an early lead after sweeping clean the Tier 4 Raj Anand moot.

Bhopal is followed in the early MPL rankings by ILS Pune and NLU Jodhpur which, respectively, won the NLIU Juris Corp moot and the prestigious elite class Henry Dunant moot.

Jodhpur and Henry Dunant runners-up RMLNLU Lucknow will now compete with other international law schools in the world class Red Cross moot, to which Henry Dunant is the Indian qualification round, hosted by the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL).

Raj Anand

NLIU Bhopal’s Smriti Tripathi, Karanvir Singh and Shivani Vij swept the best team, best speaker and best memorial prizes at Raj Anand

RMLNLU, which also broke into Raj Anand’s semi finals, tied its MPL 6 score with the other Raj Anand semi-finalist Symbiosis Pune. Symbiosis also won the best researcher citation at the Juris Corp, as set out below.

NLSIU Bangalore was runner-up: the MPL 3, 4 and 5 winner sits right at the bottom of the MPL 6 inaugural tabulations, tied with HNLU Raipur and NUSRL Ranchi.

Henry Dunant

NLU Jodhpur’s Padmaja Menon, Akarshi Jain and Pranita Mehta clinched victory for the law school.

NLUO Cuttack, which was a start-of-season heavy hitter during MPL 5 too, is sitting at rank 4, having broken into Dunant’s semi finals and clinched the best researcher citation.

The Kerala Law Academy (KLA) was the other Dunant Semi finalist and is tied with NLUO.

Juris Corp

ILS Pune's Yash Bansal, Vivek Hegde and Mohith Gauri took away Juris Corp.

The winners also picked up the best speaker citation at the moot. HNLU Raipur, NUSRL Ranchi and Symbiosis Pune were the other citation holders.
