Retail FDI flop: With Walmart’s announced exit from India, due to excessive red-tape and the rule that 30 per cent of products must be sourced from local producers, not a single multinational is taking advantage of last year’s much debated government decision to allow 51 per cent FDI in multi-brand retail.
