Detailed guide to registering and posting job ads

1: Create an Employer account

  1. Sign in to your existing Legally India account. If you do not have an account yet please register here, then check your email to activate the account and sign in. The username and email you choose here will not be visible to applicants.
  2. Once signed in, browse to jobs.LegallyIndia.com and click the “Create Employer Profile” button.
  3. You must now create a new “Employer”. Job ads can only be posted by approved “Employers”, which can also be set up by recruitment firms acting on behalf of a client. You can create several Employers under one Legally India account.
  4. Enter the Employer’s name in the field. This will be visible to applicants and should be the name of the hiring law firm, company or organisation. NB: Applications will be of a higher quality if you specify your organisation’s name. If you prefer to post a job ad without disclosing the prospective employer’s name, you can enter a generic description here as long as it is accurate and not misleading, such as: Top 5 national Indian law firm; Start-up law firm; Delhi-based LPO firm; Sensex FMCG company; or London-headquartered global firm.
  5. Enter a contact email address. This will not be visible to applicants but will be used to confirm your account and applications and CVs from candidates applying to your job ad will be sent here.
  6. You can also add further fields and information and upload an image file of the Employer’s logo, which will get featured on various Legally India pages and drive more applicants to your job ad.
  7. Save the Employer by clicking the orange “Add New Employer” button.
  8. You should now receive a confirmation email that your Employer is active.

2: Buy credits at Rs 2,000 each to post jobs

  1.  To post jobs you will now need to “credit” your account with Rs 2,000.

  2. You can do this by visiting “Employer Tools” and clicking “Buy Credits” on Legally Jobs. From there you can pay directly by credit card over a trusted third-party online payment gateway, or arrange a cheque, demand draft payment or an online bank transfer.

3: Posting a job ad...

  1. Visit recruit.LegallyIndia.com or click on “Employer Tools” in the Jobs Site (see screenshot right). You should see the following screen, including credits and how many job ads this allows you to post in the top-right corner.
  2. Half-way down the page click on “Post a job”.
  3. Enter all relevant details for the job. Mandatory fields are marked with ***. Try to describe the role and experience required in as much detail as necessary. The more details you provide the better and more focused applications will be. Hover the mouse over any text for a tool-tip that will explain what each field means.
  4. Once you are happy with the job ad and description, click the orange “Apply changes” button. If you have enough credits in your account the job will be posted on Legally India. If you do not have any credits in your account, the job ad will be saved as a draft and you can publish it later once you have sufficient credits.
  5. To see all your posted jobs or to amend your existing and published job ads, click on “List My Jobs” half-way down the Employer Tools page.

You have now posted a job ad on Legally Jobs!

4: Managing applications...

  1. Whenever someone applies for your advertised job the address specified in your Employer set-up will receive an email with the applicant’s cover letter, CV, the most important career information and contact details. You can write an email directly to the email address they provided.
  2. You can also visit applications.legallyindia.com or click to “Employer Tools” and then click “View your applicants”. Once there, click the white-orange edit button (
    edit button
    edit button
) to view a specific application. From there you can also download their CV, browse their personal details and communicate directly with applicants over the site.
  3. You can also create email templates (visit “Employer Tools”, then click “E-mail templates”). You can use email templates to quickly send standard emails or responses to applicants (such as rejection letters or invitations for interviews).
  4. When you run out of your credits you can visit “Employer Tools” and click “Buy Credits” at the bottom of the page, where you can arrange secure online credit card payments via a trusted third party site, Indian or UK bank transfers and cheque payments.
You can now handle the job applications process on jobs.LegallyIndia.com from start to finish.

We hope you will find jobs.LegallyIndia.com useful and valuable in assisting in your staffing requirements.
