Calcutta Uni seems to have implemented BCI's 'no girl-shorts' dress code recommendation...

Calcutta University's Hazra Law College students are protesting the Bar Council of India (BCI)-recommended dress code rules that appear to have been implemented by the university, reported the Statesman , with students having written a letter to the university's vice chancellor that they would not abide by the fashion restrictions.

As first reported by us in April, the BCI had circulated the note that dress codes would be "preferable" (though within the discretion of each college) a short while after an NLSIU Bangalore professor chastised a student for wearing shorts to a lecture, which was quickly picked up by the mainstream media.
