Exclusive: Sixty-five Amity Law School Delhi graduates have secured ‘desk job’ offers out of a batch of 136 students, with 11 additional law firm jobs still to be confirmed after interviews.
In total there were 15 confirmed offers from LPOs, 44 from law firms and three each from non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and corporate houses.
Among the law firms Khaitan Jayakar Sud & Vohra and Phoenix Legal were the largest recruiters respectively hiring four and three students.
Legal process outsourcing company EXL Services was the largest recruiter overall hiring five students, followed by Pangea3 with four, and Clifford Chance’s offshore legal services centre OSC Global Services and CPA Global picking up three each.
A small number of offers from legal process outsourcing (LPO) companies and law firms were rejected by students and are not included in those totals, explained the director of Amity Law School, professor MK Balachandran. Final results could only be confirmed after the end of the semester in July.
Over 50 organisations interviewed or offered jobs to Amity students and almost all participating organisations hired at least one student.
Balachandran told Legally India that outside of the 77 who were recruited or awaiting confirmation to join corporate, LPO or law firm jobs, 22 other students have opted for litigation and would join the chambers of various advocates.
Four other students were working under judges of the various high courts or the Supreme Court.
Balachandran added that 30 other students have opted to continue their higher studies in various Indian and foreign universities.
The details of the universities where the students are likely to pursue their higher studies was not available at the time of going to press.
Starting salaries at law firms and others are listed on Legallypedia.

And calling yourself as an RGNULite, better not pose a lame picture of yourself by referring to our VC as "SHE"...it simply shows how well aware you're about the college and the situation. So instead of targeting the attitude etc of RGNULites, you better concentrate on talking about whichever college you belong to because your comments clearly show you're not from RGNUL.
Are these really law firm placements?
I did my calculations: there are 15 decent law firm placements.
Please don't mislead law aspirants with comments like: ton of desk jobs.
Look at the quality: More than 75% of students have been placed in low grade, low paying (maximum 15,000 per month) law firms!
Shameful!
C & V associates?
Subhro Sanyal law firm?
Sushant M Singh?
Syed and Syed?
Are these really law firms? Or are these individual lawyers who run law practices?
I have never heard of such firms!! I'll request LI to publish salaries these so called law firms pay. Do they pay at all? Do they exist at all?
2. For all those who believe that Amity Law School, Delhi is only about money. they should know that in fact it is the opposite !!!! As per to do fee structure of IP UNIVERSITY, students only pay Rs. 39000 Per Annum as total fees. I believe it has only been raised after the 6th pay commission to approx. 50000 Per Annum. Hardly overflowing with funds, wouldn't you say ?!?! Yet we manage to make our mark in the legal fraternity through our own hard work. Many student initiatives face the biggest hurdle of funds, yet we manage to pull them off through sponsorships and advertising.
AMITY LAW SCHOOL, NOIDA (AMITY UNIVERSITY) is known to charge approx. 1.5 Lakhs Per Annum exclusive of accommodation. However, that not being my College, I shall refrain from commenting on their achievements or performance.
But at the same time, it is difficult for those w/o a legal backing to bag such internships in the first place. But everyone survives.
And if you thought Amity was about the money, I invite you to check out the library of both the Amity(s). Noida and Delhi. If Amity (Delhi) had money, I am sure there would have been better books in the library, unlike Amity Noida.
Well, besides that, all the n-brand law schools get a library budget from the govt. If i remember correctly NLIU Bhopal has a 3 crore and counting donation for their library. No doubt it is one of the best libraries.
But that's money. Amity (Delhi) is not quite so rich.
Next time, make sure you specify the college, as either Delhi or Noida (Will save you some trouble)
The batch is consist of around 68 students, out of them one student is going for LLM in Oxford university, some other students also got clearance for foreign studies nut none of them confirm it yet.........few students got PPOs from second or third tier law frims e.g. dua associates, K R Chawala etc... and their was no campus placement in college till yet....the reason for all this not the students but the unexperienced adminsistration and the former VC Gurjeet singh..who denied to start the campus placement in college and clearly said that he will not talk to any firm or any other recruiter....the reason was unknown...students made all efforts to change his mind but they failed....the other reason was the politics in campus within batches ....students and faculty....the college administration has no interest in placement....students are thankful to the P& H High court to removing the Gurjeet Singh from the university....but till that time has passed....and 11 batch pass out without any result....currently the campus placement is going on at local level...with local firms in punjab.....its a matter of shame for the RGNUL administration....i have sincere concern for the students....we have seen the performance of the college in moots, debates, publications and other activities...students are far better than than other college....i hope the upcoming batch did not face the same problem....
RGNUL End Soon.......
RGNUL, CNLU and RMLNU Started 2gether..NUALS has performed exceptionaly wel n RMLNU has performed decent..
DOnt try 2 contact RGNULpeople thy r nvr gonna respond..thy al hve gt ego intrest n placement cel is useless..
