A&O-Trilegal NLS finance course to travel across India in coming years

Allen & Overy's (A&O) best friend Trilegal's international finance course at NLSIU Bangalore has this year also invited 40 students from other national law schools and will be held at Nalsar Hyderabad next year, being set to rotate between law schools year-by-year.

The week-long course, which was first started by A&O at NLSIU (pictured) last year, runs again from today in Bangalore and has invited 40 students from colleges such as NLU Jodhpur and Nalsar Hyderabad, according to a firm spokesperson.

Next year the course will be held at Nalsar Hyderabad. "The aim is to rotate the course across the top law schools in India-hopefully enabling a range of students interested in this area of law to take part," said an A&O spokesperson.

Last year 70 fourth year NLSIU Bangalore students attended the course.

A&O global head of banking training Rita Dev said: "The course will give the students a much broader context to their studies. Indian universities haven't taught a course like this before so it really is bringing something new to the market and we hope it will broaden the students' understanding of the international aspects of financial law."

The course includes classes on international comparative law and practicalities of banking and international capital markets transactions.
