Nalsar Hyderabad’s class of 74 LLB students graduating this year have secured 52 jobs with domestic and foreign law firms, in house, Big Four consulting and other organizations. Khaitan & Co and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas were the largest recruiters from the batch.

HNLU Raipur placed 58 students in this year’s graduating batch of 146 students with corporate and litigation law firms, advocates, legal process outsourcing companies (LPO), government departments and CLAT coaching centres.

Nalsar Hyderabad has increased its batch size from 80 to 120 students from this year, after having been in violation of a Bar Council of India (BCI) rule on batch sizes for up to nine years.

NLU Mumbai launched its website, shifted to a new temporary campus and closed registration for its June 2015 entrance exam.

Himachal Pradesh will build a National Law University (NLU) in Ghanahatti near Shimla for Rs 400 crore, according to Himachal Pradesh high court chief justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir, reported the PTI.

He said that an ordinance would be passed soon, followed by a bill in the state assembly, which would create the first national law school in the state offering three- and five-year law degree courses, governed by the high court.

NLSIU Bangalore’s 2016 batch successfully closed its first round of campus recruitments yesterday (2 April), one day after NLU Delhi, managing to secure 33 jobs already for 48 students taking part in campus recruitment activities.

NLU Delhi’s 2016 graduating batch has bagged 20 jobs from nearly all of India’s top firms after holding one of the first recruitment interview days out of all national law schools.
