Azmul Haque: Partnering in Singapore

Azmul Haque has made the leap to Singaporean firm Shook Lin & Bok as partner and India co-head from Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP), where he was a senior associate.

Haque, having graduated from NLSIU Bangalore in 2001, had started his career at DSK Legal and moved to Singapore to join Wong Partnership in 2006, followed by BLP in 2008.

He is qualified as an Indian lawyer and as a solicitor in England and Wales.

He has now joined Shook Lin & Bok as a corporate and finance partner, and will be co-heading its India practice alongside partner Sriram Chakravarthy, as first reported by Asia Legal Business.

The firm has around 80 lawyers.

BLP was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
