Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas lawyers again have access to Legally India from their work computers, after Legally India and Bar & Bench were inaccessible yesterday displaying the message “blocked by admin”.
According to several sources, normal access has now been restored.
According to two authoritative sources with knowledge of the issue, managing partner Cyril Shroff, who is currently in London and was not available for comment, was unaware of the block.
It is understood that as soon as he became aware of the block, it was promptly disabled.
A senior Cyril Amarchand source, who declined to be named, said that the idea of the firm indulging in censorship was “ridiculous”.
The block happened inadvertently because new “security processes” were being introduced in the firm’s IT network.
Bar & Bench had first reported the news of the block yesterday, with the headline: “Officially censored? CAM lawyers unable to access Bar & Bench”.

Now that my unreasonable prejudice is out of the way (though I'm right, for the record), it's a matter of resources.
Since I've been doing most of the web / app development myself, Apple wouuld be a lot more expensive to develop for in this case since I don't have any Apple devices to test it on. Plus Android ownership dwarfs Apple, even amongst rich law firm lawyers, I think.
However, can I suggest the following alternatives:
1. Try our website on mobile phones, which should be responsive and easily usable (and please please let us know if something doesn't work so well with our mobile site, and we can fix it).
2. You can install Telegram on your iPhone and follow us at telegram.me/LegallyIndia . It's still a bit buggy but you'll get breaking news notifications super fast, which is essentially what our Android app also does.
Would love to hear your thoughts on any of the above.
Also Kian how are you so hot
Glad to hear mobile site is working well for you - please do feel free to let us know suggestions improvement any time.
Wrong, wrong, wrong!
Seriously though, there are far worse products than Apple. Like Blackberry. (now that's bound to start a holy war!) :-)
Most of us (people I know and they number at least a hundred) use iPhones and iPads. While office computers use Windows, one doesn't wasn't office IT to notice the amount of time spent on LI, so personal iPhone and iPads are used to visit LI.
Would it hurt to make LI iPhone friendly? For starter, the entire width of article is not visible and one has to scroll horizontally, like its 2008!!!
Apple will beat the mediocre android anyday.
No 'bunch' has been fired.
