Ud: Focussing on Chennai from Bangalore
Ud: Focussing on Chennai from Bangalore

Litigator Udayarkar Rangarajan has joined Khaitan & Co as an associate partner based in Bangalore, from where he will focus on building the practice in Chennai.

Khaitan partner Rabindra Jhunjhunwala told Legally India: “We are delighted! Our plans of a Chennai focussed practice is a reality now.”

Rangarajan focuses on corporate and litigation work. He is a Nalsar Hyderabad graduate who had previously worked at AZB & Partners from 2006 until he joined Trilegal in 2009, going independent in 2011.

Khaitan has been looking to open in Chennai since hiring then-Amarchand Mangaldas partner Ganesh Prasad in Bangalore to focus on expanding to Chennai and Hyderabad.

When asked about the plans for opening in Chennai, Jhunjhunwala said: “For now, we will use Ud for focussing on Chennai from Bangalore.”
