Symbiosis Law School alumnus Aninda Pal joined Juris Corp as a partner in its mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and private equity (PE) practice from November 2015, according to a press release from the firm last week. Pal has worked in Trilegal as a counsel in its corporate legal team for more than eight years before this.
His primary areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, private equity, venture capital and general corporate.
H Jayesh, co-founder of Juris Corp said that the firm was looking forward for Pal to strengthen their M&A practice and taking it to the next level.
Trilegal partner Anand Prasad commented: “Aninda is a good and solid guy. Any organisation he joins will benefit greatly from his joining. We would wish him the very best.”
Juris Corp has lost a string of partners in recent years but has gradually begun replenishing its ranks, having recently recruited Economic Laws Practice (ELP) partner Jeet Sen Gupta and promoted two internally.

Maybe a bit of a break after Shroff vs Shroff overload, plus the law firm market has been a little quiet too, and we at LI have been pre-occupied with a few other areas of coverage also and figuring out what our strategy should be going forward.
But yes, law firms are still our most important beat I think and very important to us, so it won't go anywhere.
Please let us know if there's anything specific we're not covering.
More important issues to concentrate would be the impediments faced by Juniors in litigation, State of Faculty in Law schools, MPL 8, how the current syllabus at major law schools is inadequate. THESE are the things to concentrate on, though I think Kian already knows that, cause enough people have said that already.
