Economic Laws Practice (ELP) has hired Amit Vyas as an associate partner in its Mumbai litigation team.
Vyas had a six-month stint at Trilegal as a counsel after having been associate partner at Rajani Associates since August 2009.
Trilegal Mumbai partner Karan Singh commented that he wished Vyas well.
The 2002 graduate from JNV University, Jodhpur, began his career at DH Law Associates in 2003, moving to Rajani in 2004.
ELP has been busy rebuilding its litigation practice, including by hiring Amarchand Mangaldas principal associate Kirat Singh Nagra, after Delhi litigation head and partner Tarun Gulati defected to PDS Legal in April.

Who is RZS? in the last 2-odd years, atleast 4 counsel level people in lit team that I can think of. I've also heard that certain SA/counsel level people are looking to shift out of India - but not being very successful at it. Though these are not people from Mumbai - that seems to be a really solid office.
Only the best associates are made SA/Counsel, surprised that firms outside India are not hiring these SA/Counsel.

The departure of one counsel doesn't imply that more are leaving. Unless of course you are a partner at Trilegal and are in the know!
Sorry to say, but what takes place at the firm where Amit used to work is institutionalised bullying.
