Gopinatham excited about Hyd mandate, Dhir looks forward to bigger and better things to come

Dhir & Dhir Associates has hired as its Hyderabad head Kochhar & Co’s former local partner Siva K Gopinatham with a team of three associates, who had joined the firm in 2010 from Singhania & Partners but left several years later.

Gopinatham specialises in corporate and commercial law and commented in a press release: “It is an honour to head their Hyderabad branch and indeed a challenging and an equally exciting mandate that I have been entrusted with. I am sure my team and I will be able to add aligned value and repute to the firm.”

Dispute resolution lawyer KPS Kohli has also joined Dhir as an associate partner last month from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in Delhi, according to the firm’s press release:

KPS Kohli started his career at Dhir & Dhir Associates as an Associate in 2009, and organically grew within the firm hierarchy in a fast track mode to become the principal associate. He thereafter moved to Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Co. Delhi, before he came back to rejoin Dhir & Dhir this month as an associate partner.

“I always loved the experience of working together as a team at Dhir & Dhir. I am glad to be a part of the firm again and will look forward to contributing to the firm in times to come.” said KPS Kohli, Associate Partner, New Delhi.

Dhir & Dhir managing partner Alok Dhir said in the statement: “At Dhir & Dhir, change and innovation has always been one of the key anthems as far as practice building and diversification is concerned. We are very excited to have Siva & KPS onboard, and the firm looks forward to doing bigger and better things in times to come.”

Clarification: Gopinatham had left Kochhar & Co several years after joining in 2010, said a Kochhar spokesperson.
