The final leg is here to decide on who can rightfully wear the crown of India’s best legal blogger. You will also decide on who has written the single best blog post of the lot, as well as the special prize for the best blogging tackling issues of social and legal importance. These categories are the big ones, with almost Rs 1 lakh of prizes remaining to be divvied up.
In previous weeks john2010 and nandiireywal picked up the prizes for best student and best qualified lawyer blogger, followed by nandiireywal winning the funniest post category, LegalPoet with a clean sweep of the most useful post and folly_nariman with the best written post.
Now on to the final round.

Favourite overall post: Rs 10,000
A subjective category: pick your favourite single blog post in the entire competition. This is the one post that you want to read over and over again, that makes you happy, sad or thoughtful. Or simply your favourite, whatever that means.
The selection was taken from all previous rounds’ popular votes’ and judges’ first choices, as well as the first and second overall ranks in each category. The principle is that if a post did not top in one of the categories it probably would not win the overall favourite post. In addition, we have included a small number of posts which were not featured in other categories yet or which the bloggers have said they wanted to put forward (all posts new to the competition are denoted with an asterisk at the bottom of the list)

May I know why some posts are *ed?
And in 'favourite' posts category my post on ABC: Adjusting comes twice in the list; please look into this.
All the best to everyone!
It explained the asterisks - have clarified slightly. They are all new posts that have not yet been featured in the competition and people may therefore not have read.
(Technical Explanation): I have a large peripheral vision courtesy the speed reeding course I did. I can scan the text pretty quickly. :P
(Physical Explanation): Playing cricket keeps you fit and keeps your eyesight as good as anyone elses. Spotting the error is like spotting a doosra or a carrom ball. :D
(Emotional Explanation): When you have participated in a competition with some effort, you get involved in it to an extent that you want it to be fair and proper.
(Philosophical Explanation): I comment, therefore I am. :-)
(Economical Explanation): The opportunity cost of my commenting is greater/smaller than my not commenting on it (I hate economics and hence the possibility to choose an option for the right answer). The "ABC: Adjusting post" might divide its votes amongst its copy and ruin my chances. :D
(Historical Explanation): I have a previous track record of being a incessant commenter. :P
Smileys speak-
:-)- please note me.
:D- please note me too.
:P- Me.
[Voting will close this week, results will be declared once all the judges' votes are in, hopefully soon. -Kian]
Thank you for your comment. Although you have stated that your comment is in jest, I'd like to clarify that there have been no "meetings" or even confabulations between the judges. We were given time till the end of last week (Sep. 18 to complete the judging). The final leg of the competition involved extensive reading and re-reading of not just the short listed entries but several other blog posts as well. Personally, I could not meet the deadline and sought a couple of days extension from Kian to send him my results. I did send him the results close to midnight yesterday. You need to appreciate that all of us have personal and professional commitments (not to mention the distraction of CL 20) which pulls us in different directions.
I understand your anxiety. Were I to place myself in your shoes, I would be just as impatient, especially if I were a participant. Thank you for your patience. I am sure that the results will be out very soon. May the best blogger win.
Sanjay Bhatia
Best,
Kian
