Former Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas banking partner Niloufer Lam, who had left the firm amicably in April 2017, has joined the law firm ZBA as a partner.
Mumbai-based ZBA, also known as Zarir Bharucha & Associates, was founded by Zarir Bharucha who specialises in shipping law.
Lam had joined in 2010 from Bank of America Trustees, where she was a consultant director. She had previously also worked at KBC Bank, Morgan Stanley and, from 1996 to 2006, at Linklaters.
Lam was not immediately available for comment. We will update the story when we hear from her.
Law firm ranking site Magic Lawyers described ZBA as a “a dedicated boutique firm offering a one-stop shop for all shipping related matters” with 4 to 8 associates:
Founded in 1997 by Cambridge educated, former Linklaters attorney Zarir Bharucha, the firm has garnered a tremendous reputation in its area of practice. The firm aims at replicating Zarir’s experience of working in a global powerhouse by delivering high quality and fully professional counsel to its clients, who include Great Pacific Navigation and Forbes & Co.
