Only 69 per cent of 11,752 bar exam test takers managed to clear the second All India Bar Exam (AIBE), as only 56 per cent of those re-taking the test for the second time managed to clear.
By contrast, 75 per cent of candidates taking the exam for the first time managed to pass.
Only 11,752 out of 12,158 who registered for the AIBE managed to take the exam, excluding 2,533 candidates have still not taken the exam in Chennai, which was cancelled for the third time as mass protests by advocates took place outside exam halls.
The pass rate in English, which around half of candidates took, stood at 80 per cent while for Hindi, the second-largest exam language, the pass rate was only 60 per cent. Candidates from Andhra Pradesh performed the worst this year, with only 36 per cent of 869 candidates passing – almost 20 percentage points less than last year. Karnataka results too tanked, hitting a 43 per cent pass ratio out of 1020 candidates. (see table, click to enlarge)
Maharashtra and Goa, the largest candidate pool again, saw a small decline in pass rates to 73 per cent. The next largest, Gujarat, saw 65 per cent pass.
Almost 30 per cent of candidates scored between 40 and 50 marks out of 100 in the exam; 40 marks was the pass grade in the exam.

Newly elected BCI chairman Ashok Parija commented in a press release: “The pass percentage for the second AIBE is around 69%, which is slightly lower than the pass percentage for the first AIBE. The pass percentage amongst male and female candidates is nearly the same again though the pass percentage of repeat candidates (who did not clear the first AIBE) is lower than that of fresh candidates.”
He added that the dates for the next AIBE would be announced shortly with a “streamlined process”.

One year waiting(Wasting of time) period to start practice after registered with State Bar Council
and some of these guys even claim that they are better than law firm lawyers because one day they might become judges :D

Please read my subject matter where I have mentioned "answer key require"
now they will announce your score.
A meeting in this regard has been called on September 10 which will be attended by Chairman of State Bar Council from all over India.
The fact that so many have managed to do so speaks volumes about the standard of legal education in this country. Notwithstanding the legal challenges to the exam, I personally feel that the BCI or whoever, is responsible for maintaining standards of legal education needs to analyse the results to see which schools have fared poorly and put them on notice. As they say, there are no bad students - only bad teachers. Law schools which produce graduates unable to pass an elementary exam like this (which requires no prior knowledge of law) need to be shut down.
