Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) aquired 100% in 9X Media Private Limited (and its subsidiaries) from Rivendell PE LLC / New Silk Route Partners and other shareholders of 9x Media Private Limited. The deal was valued at Rs 160 crore, reported VC Circle and others.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas acted for Zee, led by the general corporate practice and partner Jay Gandhi and principal associate Arun Jerome, and associate Natalee Nanda.

Economic Law Practice acted for the seller and private equity fund Rivendell PE - formerly known as New Silk Route Partners - and 9x Media Private Limited, led by partner Sujjain Talwar, partner Aakanksha Joshi, senior associate Amruta Kelkar and associate manager Tarini Menezes.

Ernst & Young was financial and tax advisor to the buyer.

The deal is yet to be closed.

We have advised them on two transactions. Much larger numbers. But then we have to take zee's permission to disclose. And if that doesn't come through, it doesn't get published.
