Fox Mandal Bangalore instructed by US law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati (WSGR) advised business and professional networking website LinkedIn on its Rs 632 crore ($118m) acquisition of presentation sharing service Slideshare which was advised by US law firm Fenwick & West LLP.

Fox Mandal partners Sathya Prasad and Debanjan Bannerjee with WSGR partners Raj Judge and Nisha Antony acted for the Nasdaq listed, 181 million members strong business-to-business networking company popular among job seekers.

Fox Mandal acted on the due diligence of the transaction, and also provided post-closing assistance. Prasad, who heads the firm’s secretarial practice, told Legally India that since the Indian subsidiary of Slideshare was already acquired, he along side M&A head Bannerjee was acting on the subsidiary’s due diligence as well.

Fenwick & West partner Kris Withrow acted for India-centric Slideshare, which according to Marketing Land had 29 million unique users and presentations embedded across 1.4 million domains, as of March 2012.

Slideshare’s founder Rashmi Sinha is of Indian origin. The 55 employee strong company is headquartered in San Francisco but has a key office in New Delhi, according to Hindustan Times.

“SlideShare attracts professionals wishing to broadcast their points of view. Professionals also seek new ways of presenting information. Its network thus complements LinkedIn's platform for professional networking” said Fox Mandal in a statement.
