CJI recuses in CLAT challenge, Justice Thakur to hear on Friday

The petition by academic and Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) founder Shamnad Basheer against the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) in the Supreme Court, has been listed on Friday before Justice TS Thakur, after Chief Justice of India (CJI) HL Dattu recused himself yesterday.

Dattu recused himself since he is the chancellor of several national law schools and had previously passed administrative orders in several CLAT matters.
