i think it illustrates the dedication to a client that is necessary to be a great lawyer. Would you take a bullet for your client? What if you were getting paid by the hour for hospital recovery time? So there!

On the contrary. It shows that 'dedication' cannot be absolute or at the cost of professional ethics. An astute lawyer must know when to accept a brief and when to say no. There is a reason the client is portrayed as a criminal in the cartoon. [...]
