Whether the embargo under Sec 69 of the Indan partnership Act applies to a criminal complaint ?

Could you please rephrase?

Also, the provisions of S69 prohibit the institution of a suit by a non-registered firm against a third person for the enforcement of a right under a contract (along with prohibiting a person suing as a partner against the firm for a right under the Act or under the partnership deed ).

It does not prohibit a third party to bring a suit against the firm nor does it prohibit a firm from defending any such action.

section 69 mentions that the firms which are not registered cannot sue to enforce a right arising from a contract , if can surely sue for any right other than that arising from contract be it copyright , tort or criminal .

obviously the police complaint is maintainable, but private prosecution is not possible because the lawyer could not hold valid brief from a unregistered firm, further NIAct cases are fruitless indeed
