Lol.

Guys come on,
What are people fighting over?:D

I am choosing Delhi over Kolkata.
I have lived 18 years of my life in Mumbai.
And as the TS may know,
Mumbai-ites and Delhi-ites don't get along that easily together.:p

This is my advice to the TS,
Even I had the same confusion as you,
Make a choice and back it to the hilt.

As for no drugs, booze etc. in NLU-D.:p

"Where there's a will, there's a way".
When the Mumbai guys reach there............:p

@Mr.just cleared sub 100 CLAT ranker 3 Months agoKarma: 0
We are trying to clear the air of all the stink that seems to have been brought on by these boys from NLUD.

Its not ego massaging, if you're a sub-100 rank holder, you'll soon realize it once you join NALSAR (or NLS) that we are trying to guide the un-initiated correctly, while NLUD boys are just slinging heavy words such as "drug-addiction", the supposed "Justice Thomas Report" and the like.

There's no choice if you get through to NLSIU or NALSAR.
After that things complicate,
I know many people last year and this year(me too this year) who left NUJS for NLU-Delhi.

What does NUJS offer me that NLU-D doesn't?

1-Reputation.
2-Alumni.
3-Placements(which may be equalled by NLU-D for all we know).

Even after this,
Imma going for Dilli.

Then let me assure you, I've met enough NALSARites, and they aren't the shit you perhaps think they are.

Normal fellows, some with excellent CV's agreed, but quite normal.

A difference of 5-7 marks would've landed you from NALSAR or NUJS to perhaps GNLU. Make use of it. The three things you mention, those are ABOUT the only advantage. There is none other.

You are not really smart compared to all those kids who are behind you by a mark, especially given the no-negative rule. So, make use of the oppurtunity you've been gifted and don't waste it. That has been the theme of this whole thread.

If you know enough people who've made such a decision, then by all means, go ahead and do the same. But, remember, Law Firms will be apprehensive when a new law school pops-out for the first time.

Just remember that before you take the plunge. After which do what you want.

I'm in the middle of a lot of work, so this would be my last reply for a long time.

Ciao

The discussion is quite entertaining on dis part of the forum. It has compelled me to put in my 2 cents....

Frm what I hve heard frm disussions within eminent members of the legal fraternity, there is a unanimous consensus as to one fact--NLU Delhi is here to rock!!!Besides the locational advantages and the fact dat Prof. Ranbir Singh is its VC...it's the quality of students dat hve enrolled demselves in dis college dat assures u of its success.Apart frm the fact dat NLU Delhi entrance test is considered the most difficult UG level legal exam in India, the fact dat ppl are leaving NUJS and possibly NALSAR for NLU-Delhi gives u an idea of the quality of students der.Wid such a strong student base and supportive faculty members NLU Delhi HAS to become one of the most sought after colleges in years to come.

I cud not get thru NLU delhi in the 1st list(had a score of 98) so I implore on u--Utkarsh and TS to leave NLU Delhi so dat it drops into my basket...:P

a counter question would be more interesting,
What has NLS D got to offer, which NUJS cant?

and whosoever is making a choice based on this forum, i would implore him to not to do so, and go for a more unbiased opinion.

Stop this! 3 Months agoKarma: 0
Am sorry im posting after a while, don't have as much spare time as u guys at NUJS. @ pacman, am extremely sorry i referred to you as a student of NUJS. i don't pay too much attention to post script's. though your agitation at you being called a "noojie" surprises me. So much that you should resort to harsh words in response to a simple mistake. sigh!! so much for the support.
any way, acknowledged that NALSAR had only one major competitor when it was established. Acknowledged that Prof. Singh was with NALSAR for 10 years but NALSARS first placements were symbolic of its success as an institute securing 100% placements in its first batch itself with the top rankers getting extremely lucrative placements. now you may argue that this was because there was lesser supply in law students due to only two institutes and hence it was only natural that they would get jobs, but i don't think demand arises from quantity alone, but exponentially from both quality and quantity. Also the demand for law students then was much lesser than it is now so the demand curve remains constant even today despite the face that the number of law schools has increased and hence there is an increase in the number of graduates, however there is a corresponding increase in demand. therefore as long as our Respected VC Prof. Singh is able to do with us what he did with NALSAR and produce quality graduates(which he is very much in the process of doing), add that to the advantage of being in delhi, and you have brilliant placements in place! and no, Prof. Singh in not leaving us before our first batch passes out and even after that his date of leaving or his leaving at all has not been stipulated yet. i humbly apologize for my colleague stating a report and starting such a topic on this forum. however he is correct in stating that there is such a report, he might have got the name wrong, and it is a matter of common sense that such a report would not be available on google, therefore it is preposterous to demand a link to the same. would request you not to pursue that topic further, if however you still desire to do so then it is entirely on your own account that you shall. also i think its time to stop this argument. NUJS has been doing this on other forums as well such as facebook e.t.c. you a more misguiding students than guiding the. its better you let them make their own choices. we(Student of NLUD) did not enter this debate by choice but were made to due to provocative posts from students of NUJS(Bihari babu and the like). its time to end this.

you(students of NUJS) might consider this good sport, or an exercise to show that your good at insulting other colleges, but its time to stop once its starts affecting other who still have their careers in contemplation. relax. if they have to choose NUJS, they shall. nothing you say will help. if they have to choose NLUD they shall. nothing we say will help either. we are not "recruiters" as "draconian" with his extremely loose tongue states!(no wonder NLUJ hasn't beaten us at a PD yet! despite the fact that were a new college and they're going up against 1st years and 2nd years.) you insult us, dont expect us to take it lying down. all those who choose NLUD, we welcome you with open arms to a bright future. All those who chose NUJS, may u be blessed with an equally bright future, for all said and done, NUJS is indeed a good university.

Sure Rahul.

I'll mail you.

I think the fight was not necessary.

All of us belong to elite National Law Schools.
And we should all further the NLU brand, after all strength lies in numbers.

We don't need some lower colleges to sneak up while our students fight.:D

@Tisrock

Sure, we have not beaten you in any PD. We went to Jessup's and Stetson this year. Beat that. We also got special mention in one of them. SO MUCH for your bull! (oops! me and my "loose tongue", and if you think this is "loose" my dear friend, you really require to step down to mother earth)

And, if you must, check the MPL (BTW, we have a new restriction wherein the entire college can only participate in 25 moots. Inspite of that we have done so well.)

Interestingly, the inconsistencies I pointed out in Namin-characters posts have not yet been rebutted. Would you please care to do so?

Saste!
