For NLUJ, it will remain a tier 3 lawfirm and always a 5th or 6th or may be 7th choice for a graduating student. Not sure if anybody who gets selected/ or have prospects of selection by Amarchands even send their CV to them. Anyways the world know - they copy the precedents (read documents, agreements etc)of Amarchand by getting them clandestinely.

Please get your facts straight. Trilegal has been and still is a 'Tier -I' firm, even for NLUJ students. And as far as your so called unsubstantiated claims about students preferences go , the fact that the topper of '16 batch, along with other very good students have chosen trilegal goes on to show the your claims are unfounded. Also, a student who has been placed at trilgal had a PPO offer from Amarchand as well. The fact that he chose Trilegal over it shows that firm preference is a very subjective choice of an individual and should not be stereo-typed.

PS - What was the point in bringing NLUJ into this article , sherlock? Perhaps, showing how cool your college is. Next time, better keep your thoughts to yourself.You are just embarrasing the varsity.

Delhi diarist, if a firm grows by more than 15% every year, you can't be right. You shall eat your words by March because of the pace at which things are moving at Trilegal. They introduced a certain management and client delivery model so take your gyan and do whatever you want but don't try to confuse people.

As per Trilegal's own website, your numbers don't seem to add up - unless the website is out of date. It currently lists 25 partners, including Amit, spread across 4 offices. This comprises of 9 partners in New Delhi, 11 partners in Mumbai, 1 partner in Hyderabad and 4 partners in Bangalore. Additionally, the website people directory indicates a total strength of 32 lawyers in Mumbai, 18 lawyers in Bangalore and 3 lawyers in Hyderabad. While only 10 lawyers are listed in the New Delhi section, these are only partner and counsel level folks - senior associates and associates are not included. Thus, excluding the senior associates and associates in New Delhi, the total strength of the firm adds up to 63 as per the website. even if one adds a generous 70 more to that number to compensate for the New Delhi based senior associate and associate lawyers (making for a partner:associate ration in excess of 1:7), you still end up with a total of under 135 lawyers. Again, it could well be that the firm does not maintain a duly updated website - but this is what one finds at the source, and this is what is verifiable with actual names. Also, your 2013 figures are inaccurate - they are lower than the actual. According to the 2013 RSG India Top 40 report, Trilegal had a total of 150 lawyers (not 140 as you claim), which included 20 partners (and not 18 as you have stated). It would help the readers if you could also provide verifiable sources for your figures so they can make up their minds based on the hard data. Please don't take this personally, and I certainly didn't mean to offend your or anyone else's feelings - just interested in making sure that we have a reasoned discussion based on facts. Looks like one of the upcoming bright ones has written this!! It will be nice to know what has Trilegal achieved in 15 years which has taken others "several" decades and what newer firms are being able to achieve. SURPRISE!!
