Nearly five hundred candidates who were previously notified they had passed the fourth All India Bar Exam (AIBE) held on 9 December 2012, had actually failed the exam, announced the Bar Council of India (BCI) on the official AIBE website, with Hyderabad candidates being the hardest hit.
The notice, which is available via a link called Notification on AIBE-IV at the bottom of the http://www.allindiabarexamination.com/ website, stated:
1. Notification on AIBE-IV candidates whose result was amended from “Pass” to “Fail”
Due to technical reasons we found discrepancies in the result of many candidates. We looked into this issue and rectified the error. After rectification we found some of the candidates who were previously declared as “Pass” were originally “Fail”. We verified it by manual checking of the answer sheets of such candidates. The list of such candidates is available here. Kindly visit the link and if you find your name in this list kindly apply for next AIBE. In case of any query kindly feel free to contact us. Any inconvenience caused is regretted.
The Excel spreadsheet list contains 470 names of candidates from Guwahati, Cochin, Chandigarh, Aurangabad and Hyderabad.
Hyderabad candidates make up more than half the list with 283 names.
A BCI official confirmed the notice on the website but was not able to provide further details on the cause of the discrepancy.
The notification also adds a further clarification on finding AIBE results, which were first published in late January.
2. Notification on Searching the Result for AIBE -4

Further news: The BCI has not yet delivered the practice certificates for the people who passed AIBE IV.
The most recent declared deadline was 15 May.
The original deadline declared on the AIBE website was 30 days following declaration of results.
The registrar of a major southern bar council said the BCI had informed them by email to expect the certificates by 15 May but had been silent and unresponsive since.
Neither shame nor duty appear strong enough to spur the BCI to perform properly. A baby conceived on the date the BCI first set for AIBE IV would already be delivered, head shaved and eating solids. The BCI can't figure out how to set a date, conduct an exam, correctly correct the exam and deliver certificates to those who passed.
.
Also, why is the list of failed candidates published for all to see? Which organization does this? Students should be able to enter their roll number and see the result.
in the basis of benefit of doubt Bar Council of India should take decision whole 470 or more students to declare PASS as previous declared.
