The team from NLSIU Bangalore defeated CMR Law School in the finals of fifth edition of School of Law, Christ University National Moot Court Competition 2014 held from 4 to 7 September.
The best speaker award went to Akshanch Singh from NUSRL Ranchi.
NUSRL Ranchi, which was a semi finalist along with AIL Mohali, also took home the best memorial award, taking home 13 points from this moot – more than even the winners NLSIU, and is now in 12th position in the Mooting Premier League (MPL) 6, sponsored by Herbert Smith Freehills.
The finals were judged by an illustrious bench comprising of Ram Jethmalani, Justice Chandrashekhar, Justice Rathnakala, Khaitan & Co partner Manas Kumar Chaudhuri, and senior advocate PD Dinesh Kumar.
The tier 5 moot saw a participation of 43 teams from across the country.
