Madhurima Mukherjee, who had left Luthra & Luthra a year ago, has joined AZB & Partners in Delhi as a capital markets partner, according to several authoritative sources.

Mukherjee has been active in the Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) scheme during her sabbatical.

She was not reachable for comment at the time of going to press.

Mukherjee’s husband Gautam Saha is a partner in AZB Delhi’s corporate team.

Update 17:35: AZB Delhi managing partner Ajay Bahl said in an email statement:

We are delighted to announce that Madhurima Mukherjee is joining us as a partner. The significant experience she brings will greatly supplement and value add to our existing team and provide additional impetus to this important practice area of capital markets at AZB.

The 1997-NLSIU Bangalore graduate had joined Luthra in 2006 to build up its capital markets practice after eight years at Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi.
