NLU Jodhpur bested Nuals Kochi to win the ULC Bangalore moot on Sunday and take third place in the Herbert Smith Freehills sponsored Mooting Premier League season 5 rankings.
Speakers Garima Tyagi and Teja Bhagwati and researcher Prashant Singh led Jodhpur to victory. Tyagi said that the added angle of the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act 2003 to the moot’s constitutional law problem, and the involvement of a lot of macroeconomic theory, made it a level tougher than its previous editions.
“This was my second moot and what I realized this time is that answering the judges’ questions is the most important part of the mooting exercise,” she said.
Samarth Krishna from RMLNLU Lucknow was the best overall speaker while Mansi Khare from NLUO Cuttack was adjudged the best female advocate. Shraddha Nigam from NLSIU Bangalore won best researcher taking Bangalore back to top spot of the MPL 5 table.
32 teams participated in the moot.
Upcoming moot: Herbert Smith Freehills Moot Court Competition – 22-23 March
Correction: A previous version of this story erroneously stated that Mansi Khare was the best speaker at the competition, whereas she was best female advocate. This has been corrected to include that Samarth Krishna was the overall best speaker. After changing the points in the league table NLUO's rank is unaffected whereas RMLNLU jumps three ranks. The correct order of rankings will reflect in the table in the next story onward.

It should be 99+8=107
What is this repeated prejudice against Nluo?
update the table please :)
It was a simple addition error on our spreadsheet. Has been fixed.
Conspiracy theorists can sleep easy tonight... :)
Best wishes,
