Or may be that guy is really good.
you have definitely not worked with him...he's bloody good...WG's answer to Harvey Specter I must say...:D
Totally agree...undoubtedly Nihas and Anand are one of the best people that WG has...You should ask their juniors...they claim them to be one of the best mentors..
I am sure he is a bright and /or hardworking person. But it takes more than brightness and/or hardworkingness to be a partner. Take a look outside the legal world. Do Banks appoint super-clever IIT-IIM guys as directors or general managers in their 20s ? Does the government appoint an IAS topper as a chief secretary when in his 30s? Hell why dont we marry kids off at 15?? There is a lot of skill, experience and maturity required to be a partner in a law firm and 6 yrs is not sufficient. By comparison no foreign firm worth its name makes lawyers partners without 9-10 years of experience. Or are you saying our desi lawyers in their tiny firms have a special masala that makes them partner material at 6 yrs PQE??
Nihas is Spicy IP's and NUJS' Shamnad Basheer's little brother. Give his genes some credit. As for Anand, he enjoys a stellar market reputation for his age. When a firm (which is in a true sense a partnership) promotes those who deserve it purely on their merit, I think one must give due credit to the firm as well as those who've made the cut. Not everyone makes partner at 28, but those who do, don't make it unless they deserve it.
If someone makes it to partner that fast - it means he is jolly bloody fantastic.
So suck in your pride (and your stomach) and wish them all the best!
He's far better than those jokers in the market with even 15+ pqe. No doubt the profession is flooded with idiots like u!!
What about promotions in S&R and Crawford…never heard about these firms?
