Trilegal-Davis Polk, AZB-DLA on $200m Rolta Singapore fundraising

AZB & Partners and DLA Piper advised Indian engineering design company Rolta in its $200m bond sale on the Singapore stock exchange. Trilegal and Davis Polk & Wardwell advised the joint lead managers Barclays, Citigroup, DBS Bank and Deutsche Bank.

Trilegal partner Srinivas Parthasarathy with senior associate Priyanka Kumar and associates Gaurav Mukherjee and Anshul Gosavi acted for the lead managers on the US law governed documentation from an Indian law perspective.

Davis Polk counsel Ferish Patel acted for the lead managers on non-Indian law.

AZB & Partners partner Varoon Chandra acted for Rolta India whose subsidiary Rolta LLC made the issue.

DLA Piper Hong Kong partner Stephen Peepels was the US counsel for Rolta India.

The issue was made to qualified institutional buyers in the US through five-year senior notes at 10.75 per cent coupon, according to moneycontrol.

In 2013, over a dozen domestic companies have raised more than $9bn in overseas debt, which is 90 per cent of what Indian corporates made by the end of 2012, according to the Hindu Businessline.
