J Sagar Associates and Allen & Overy advised Export Import Bank of India in raising $750m (Rs 4,014 crore) through issuance of four per cent medium term notes (MTN) under its $6bn MTN programme.
J Sagar Associates Mumbai partner Dina Wadia with senior associate Uttara Kolhatkar and Allen & Overy Hong Kong partner Andrew Harrow acted for Exim Bank in issuance of the notes which were due 2023, under Regulation S of the United States Securities Act.
Citigroup Global Markets London, and Standard Chartered Bank Singapore were the managers to the issue. They were advised in-house. A Citi India official told the Hindu Businessline that investor interest caused them to scale up the issue size from the original $500m.
