J Sagar Associates (JSA)

Ajay Kumar and Ritesh Singh have moved from Rajinder Narain & Co to join J Sagar Associates (JSA) as associates in the banking and finance practice. They will start the firm’s aviation finance practice under partner Upendra N Sharma.

“JSA already has a strong B&F practice and is rated highly by the clients. With Ajay and Ritesh joining us, we can now increase our focus in the Aviation Finance field, as they both are specialists in the same. We warmly welcome them both to the JSA family”, said Sharma in a press release.

Kumar passed out of Delhi University’s Campus Law Centre in 2006 while Singh is a 2007-batch graduate of Symbiosis Soceity’s Law College in Pune.

Miller Cranfield

Amita Gopinath: Has Links to USAmita Gopinath: Has Links to US US law firm Miller Canfield has hired former Linklaters Indian capital markets-focused lawyer Amita Gopinath as an associate into the firm’s corporate group in New York.

Gopinath is dual qualified in India and the US, having graduated from NLSIU Bangalore and completing her LLM at Columbia Law School.

Miller Canfield’s India practice includes lawyers from the firm’s offices in Detroit, Chicago, Poland and China and represents clients doing business with and from India, the firm stated in a press release.

Gopinath has worked for Indian and Singaporean underwriters and corporations in international securities offerings, including initial public offerings, convertible bonds, Indian depository receipts and qualified institutional placements.

My god, i'm sure you'll get flooded soon with information from firms - hear that there's been lots of movement in some big ticket delhi law firms!
