An email from the BCI has confirmed that the bar exam date has been “pushed” and that the body would make a formal statement on 25 November.
The email from the BCI’s official bar exam email address responded to a query by 2010 graduate Siddharth Shekhar Seth and stated:
"The date of the AIBE has currently been pushed. The BCI will issue a press release on November 25, 2010 intimating the full details of the new date etc. Dispatch and processing of applications is continuing through this period."
BCI member are scheduled to hold a meeting this weekend in Chennai, expectedly without chairman Gopal Subramanium present, to discuss how to proceed.
One source close to the BCI told Legally India yesterday (17 November) that a release might be released then. This plan now appears to have been postponed until after the meeting.
The deadline for bar exam applications was earlier postponed to 15 November and has not been extended, although the original exam date of 5 December is most likely to now be moved to 6 March 2011.

u may register ur suggestions/complaints/letters at :
, write directly to Chief Justice of India iam sure as a patron he will help all of us, atleast we can be heard in court.
Why my comment is not displayed. I appreciate your assistance to the young lawyers, giving the updated information. Thanks for your help. Please display my comments on the site so that other students also will know how BCI is playing with young lawyers career, once state bar councils accepted our degree and enrolled us as advocate. Then why all these games.
Thanks
[I am not sure which comment you are referring to, I think all comments that appeared to be from you are live. -Ed]
Chief Justice should look into matter on urgent basis because delayed justice is justice denied.
It is being alleged that Sh Gopal Subramanium is choise of Law Minister of India. So he should make Gopal understand the dilema of fresh law graduates.

now i am helpless at the hands of BCI. having applied for this aibe:
1) i cannot suspend my sanad which otherwise i could if i got offer in any other fraternity as i have a valid 2 decades exp in other field.
2) if i decide to work for a senior, they refuse to entertain me as they find me useless if i cannot appear in the court.
a humble request to BCI...........please do not play with the career of our country's professional adults. you are in fact misusing your powers by hijacking our batch of 2009-10 graduates for whatever best reasons you alone know.
when airplane (say 500 people), bus (say 60 people) , cruise (pirates takes over) gets hijacked it becomes a BIG news in all every newspapers and every effort is made to release them. here 80,000 law graduates are openly hijacked at the hands of the unorganised BCI and we don't see it as news (
