Delhi-based law firm R&A Legal, project finance firms India Law Services and MV Kini & Co have advised the borrower, bank consortium and NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) respectively in the construction of India’s longest elevated expressway in Chennai.
Infrastructure boutique firm R&A acted as the legal counsel for Hyderabad company Soma Enterprise Limited that floated a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the completion of 19 kilometers elevated Chennai Port – Maduravoyal Expressway on NH-4.
R&A Partner Rajiv Roy was assisted by associate Rohit Anand Das on this highway project.
India Law Services represented United Bank of India led consortium of ten lender banks while NHAI was advised by MV Kini & Co.
The project that involves an estimated cost of Rs 2148 crores was closed by the firms earlier this month though the tender bid was won and the actual physical construction had started in 2009.
