Luthra & Luthra has leased a new floor in its existing Delhi building, moving its corporate team of 60 heads into the 7,000 square-foot-area last week.

Luthra & Luthra has occupied around 14,000 square feet on the first floor and a mezzanine level of the Ashoka Estate office block on Delhi's Barakhamba Road.

Leasing the new space on the ninth floor brings the firm's total space in Delhi's to around 24,000 square feet.

The firm's founder and managing partner Rajiv Luthra said: "We needed more space - more lawyers have come in, Vineet [Aneja and his team from FoxMandal Little] have joined, a number of other partners, plus the tax guys."

Luthra & Luthra has been based in the Ashoka Estate since 1992, one year after the firm was started by Raijv Luthra.

He said that the firm had been looking to find a new office location in Delhi and would continue to do so.

The leased space on the ninth floor also includes three conference rooms, which can be combined into one large room to host events or meetings.

Luthra & Luthra has hired aggressively in the past 6 months, also taking on six lateral associates and welcoming seven law school graduates to its offices.
